Welcome to A Better Way!

Tired of your pain? Our office is here to provide the highest standard of health care possible. We achieve this higher standard by combining the best elements of the top three musculoskeletal treatment disciplines: Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, and Advanced Medically Therapeutic Massage.

This novel approach employs the latest evidence-based guidelines to set definite treatment goals. Carefully monitoring improvement at regular intervals ensures that patients receive safe, effective care with minimal recovery time. Extensive patient education and health coaching allows motivated patients to enjoy lasting results, without becoming "addicted" to chiropractic adjustments.

In addition, Dr. Hearn enjoys working in tandem with other health professionals, including medical doctors, naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists, therapists, and even personal trainers. To learn more about our Integrative Medicine Affiliate doctors, visit the http://www.AkashaCenter.com website.

“Instead of thinking of Chiropractic as an alternative or some kind of therapy separate from other health care, we should consider it equivalent.”

Our Specialties

Chiropractors treat all the joints of the body, from spines to toes to jaws to elbows!  However, we all have specific conditions and areas we consider specialties.  Dr. Hearn's include:

  • Headaches
  • Neck pain
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Difficult low back problems
  • Disc problems
Chiropractic is a wonderful, effective healing tool for many painful conditions.

Scientific research has proven that immobilized joints degenerate at a faster rate, often leading to premature arthritic changes. Chiropractic adjustments restore motion where joint mobility is impaired due to injuries or bad posture.

But what about the muscles, tendons, and ligaments supporting the bony joints?

These "soft tissues" contain specialized nerve cells. Joint injury or postural strain can irritate these nerve cells, causing protective patterns of muscle spasm. Over time, patterns become "hardwired" into the soft tissue. Tiny micro-tears attract calcium and fibers that shorten some muscles, creating imbalances and loss of motion.

Clearly, there is a need to treat more than just the bones. This is why the latest medical research and government guidelines include specific, targeted back exercises in their treatment protocols.

Our office is committed to applying the best combinations of joint mobilization (adjustments) with soft-tissue release, re-alignment, and rehabilitation exercises. Physiotherapies and nutritional fine-tuning are used to augment the healing process. This integrated approach can yield superior results, beyond just temporary pain relief.
